Welcome to our long overdue Crypto Genius review and scam investigation. Crypto Genius is an old and antiquated automated trading software which is marketed as an “Underground Profit Opportunity” and signals app which buys and sells crypto CFD contracts without any form of human intervention.
Truth be said, the Crypto Genius trading platform was launched quite some time ago, but for some reason this outdated get-rich-quick scheme keeps re-surfacing in various formats. In the original version of the Crypto Genius scam, the con artists would have you believe that the man behind it is named Chris Peterson. However, this is a lie and we will discuss this in our detailed Crypto Genius review.
Factoid: This review is unrelated to James Altucher and Agora Financial.
The people who are orchestrating this scam are affiliate networks and media agencies. These marketing companies are operating hand-in-hand with CFD (contract for difference) brokers who are unlicensed to manage financial portfolios on behalf of investors or clients. But after examining all the complaints we received to date in regards to the Crypto Genius scam, this comes as no surprise at all.
When we conducted our £250 deposit test, the broker which was assigned to us was named “Trade Center”. This brokerage has a registered business address in Seychelles which is a beautiful travel destination but also a well-known tax shelter and a legal jurisdiction criminals turn to in order to launder their dirty money.
It took us a while, but eventually we were able to find out the real identity of the con artists who are responsible for promoting this latest farce. These people are well-known in the industry and have a gained a reputation for being highly effective swindlers and online scammers. So if you are absolutely convinced that Crypto Genius is a genuine trading app, we highly recommend you reconsider your options and refrain from joining this viral scam.
Official Website, Login Page, and Members Area: There are no less than 7 (Seven) “Official” Crypto Genius Websites. Without exception, they are all fraudulent.

Here we can see the main sales page and registration area of the original Crypto Genius website. If you take a look at the picture inside you can see an image of Chris Peterson, who is supposed to be the person behind the trading software.
And here we can see the same exact Peterson smiling right at you from an image bank photo. It’s worth pointing out that the scammers have since become more savvy and many of them are no longer using the original version of the Crypto Genius software. We will address this issue as we progress with our review.
OK so moving along, below you can see the section of the sales video where the so-called “traders” talk about their experience and explain why Crypto Genius is such a successful trading app. It appears that one of these “traders” is named banjoman15 and he is a cheap actor that will lie through his teeth for a measly £5.
Crypto Genius Fake Testimonials
And of course the entire testimonial section is totally forged. Here you can see that “Anthony Lewis” is also used for another fraudulent trading app named “Profit Wizard Pro”. The same is true for Fabrice Peirro and Natalie Ricci.
Fake Crypto Genius Reviews
Here we can see a great example of a fake Crypto Genius review which is trending these days. As you can see these charlatans have secured special deals with scheming offshore CFD brokers in order to make their “Exclusive Promotion” seem more attractive, but that is just another sleazy baiting tactic.
Crypto Genius Fake News And Viral Social Media Campaign
Initially there was a massive fake news campaign which included a variety of fake celebrity endorsements from all kinds of actors and well-known celebrities from all over the world. Here we see an example of a Facebook campaign which was very viral and targeted Polish viewers and used actress Małgorzata Kożuchowska to promote the scheme. Currently the Crypto Genius scam is mostly promoted on various blogs, YouTube, and possibly some paid advertisements.
In other words Crypto Genius has what we refer to as “staying power”, and for that reason we have decided to expose it on ScamCryptoRobots.com.
What Is Crypto Genius and How Does It Work?
There is some conflicting information about Crypto Genius, however most review websites agree that it is supposed to be an algorithmic trading software which detects price movements in split-seconds and in that way allows its users to generate profitable trades. In other words, the Crypto Genius trading app purchases in the-the-money cryptocurrency contracts at optimal market rates because it’s trade execution is presented to the readers as FASTER than competing systems.
Crypto Genius Review. Same Fraudulent Software With A Different Look!
Below you can see 7 different formats of the Crypto Genius trading software, and they all have a slightly different take on what Crypto Genius really is. We have sifted through each of these websites and will now discuss how some of them choose to promote this bogus trading app.
One website talks about how Crypto Genius helps you learn how to become a better trader, whilst another talks about a “Top-Notch Technology” which uses a “virtual private server” that scans the internet and generates lightning-fast execution. There is also a mention of the famous “time leap” sales pitch and how it beats market rates by 0.01 seconds and in that way offsets volatility factors.
Other websites claiming to be the “official” trading platform talk about an “award-winning system” which generates profitable signals, and an app that takes advantage of the “millionaire-making crypto boom” and helps create new millionaires. There are more takes or interpretations of what Crypto Genius is or how it functions, but the bottom line is the same in all cases.
The common theme across all of these dubious websites has to do with the fact that they are pushing the idea that this platform is an auto-trading app which generates money for its members on auto-pilot, and that there is zero or no risk involved. But no matter how attractive a certain offer or sales pitch may appear to be, always remember to check for the hard facts. Here are a few things we checked that didn’t add up.
Crypto Genius has been around for quite a while now, but for some reason keeps resurfacing. That means it’s very effective at convincing people to invest and as a result victims end up losing their money. Just avoid this fake app!
All of this has to do with the fact that affiliate networks are offering as much as $1,000 per paying customer (see above), and that is causing a lot of review websites and promoters to leave their ethical business practices at the door and start peddling fishy software.
Crypto Genius Scam: No Ownership Structure
Who is behind this trading platform? Similar to other systems we have previously blacklisted in the past, Crypto Genius is totally anonymous. We conducted extensive checks and were not able to find who is really behind this app (It’s definitely not Chris Peterson). Additionally, we were not able to find a product roadmap or a contact page that works.
Crypto Genius Review: Regulatory Perspectives
Crypto Genius is an illegal trading app, period. In fact, if you don’t believe us you can check with ConSob in Italy, CNMV in Spain, or FSA in Austria. Crypto Genius topped their warning lists quite a while ago, and it has now evolved to become one of the biggest and most blacklisted bitcoin scams available in the crypto trading scene.
Suffice it to say, we were not able to find any type of patenting information in regards to the software. That means users registering for this trading app are not entitled to some basic privacy laws, and will most likely have their private information relayed to third parties. Additionally, if there is no PCI Compliance stamp, the financial data is not stored on secure or encrypted servers. Again, this can be very problematic so please make sure to monitor your credit card statement if you registered and paid money for this service.
Crypto Genius Settings, Strategies, UI (Trading Dashboard), and Indicators
Usually, when customers want to try out a new signals app they expect to see something in the form of a trading dashboard. The dashboard offers you some kind of basic functionality which allows you to change the settings and possibly choose the kind of indicators or strategies you wish to implement such as MACD or Bollinger Bands. Many software providers also offer their members additional features that allow them to select the levels of risk or possibly read some news snippets about current industry trends. Crypto Genius does not offer any of these features.
Crypto Genius | Drawbacks Versus Benefits |
---|---|
Comparative Stats | Comparative data is not provided. |
Back Testing | This software has not been back tested. |
Legal Status | Crypto genius is an illegal trading app. |
Technical Specs | We don't really know what coding languages are used. |
Loading Times | Very slow. Quite frustrating. |
Crypto Genius Cashier FAQ (Deposits and Withdrawals)
So it’s the same story or recurring motif as we like to say. Members joining this phony system will have no trouble funding their account. In most cases they will be required to answer a few questions via phone after which a cashier will be made available for depositing. Usually Visa, Mastercard, and in some cases even cryptocurrencies can be made available to new members.
However, depositing members who have invested money and wish to cash out will find out the hard way what it means to get scammed. The complaints we received indicate to us that it is simply impossible to withdraw existing funds no matter how much documentation is provided. These brokers are simply interested in getting you to give up and move on so they can keep your money and fund their dirty operation.
Crypto Genius And Taxes
You needn’t concern yourself with taxes when it comes to Crypto Genius. That’s because taxes are only levied on profits, and since you will not be making money only losing it there will be nothing to declare (unless you want to declare bankruptcy).
Crypto Genius Scam: Bonus Structure
In some cases victims registering for Crypto Genius will be offered all types of incentives or perks in the form of bonus money. These bonuses are not free, and if you accept them you will incur something which is called a “trading requirement” which is designed to lock you in and keep you trading so you lose the remainder of your balance.
So if you are offered any type of bonus please make sure to avoid it. In our 5 years of exposing scams we have yet to see one case of an individual who accepted a bonus and ended up cashing out. It’s just another trap.
CFDs, What Are They And Is It Possible To Make Money Trading CFDs?
CFDs or contracts for difference are financial instruments which are in many ways similar to Forex. However, CFD’s offer a more diverse assets index and allow you to trade indices, commodities, shares, and of course cryptocurrency pairs. Generating money trading CFD’s can be a very lucrative venture if done correctly. However, most amateur traders make the mistake of not choosing the correct trading app or not following instructions and for that reason end up losing their initial investment.
Additionally, it’s important to understand that all forms of trading carries a certain degree of risk. The problem with get-rich-quick schemes like Crypto Genius has to do with the fact that there is hardly any mention of the risks which are associated with trading. Only the potential benefits are mentioned, and that is unacceptable.
Tested Systems That Actually Work
There are plenty of systems out there that claim to offer massive payouts and zero risk. In most cases these are just scams designed to generate profits for the promoters and offshore brokers. However, once in a while a new software surfaces and that is when we start testing it.
If the app generates profits consistently we add it to our recommended section which is made available to our members. On that note it’s worth pointing out that unlike other websites, we never recommend a trading app before we risk our own money and see that it is profitable.
Crypto Genius Review, Summary, and Much Foreseen Conclusions
The Crypto Genius scam app and fraudulent trading platform is totally blacklisted. Sometimes we let software providers enjoy the benefit of the doubt, but this is not one of those cases. Crypto Genius is a dreadful scheme which is promoted by dodgy affiliate networks. We find it particularly reprehensible that review platforms such as Trust Pilot and Reddit are being used in an extremely manipulative manner in order to coerce victims and get them to join an obvious crypto scam.
Your decision to invest (or not) places you in a very powerful position, since ultimately you are the customer and brokers will do almost anything to get you enrolled and actively trading. So don’t rush into anything before conducting proper research and please avoid the Crypto Genius scam. Should you need any additional information or advise, please make sure to reach out through our contact page.
